Preliminary Activity

I began to plan some ideas that I had for a brief trailer idea which I thought I could use to show my continuity editing along with the task of making a trailer. Here I made the plot and decided on some characters that would be appropriate for my trailer and started to plan the clip itself with shots, movements and angles. 

Plot

Choosing between the one you love and your best friend is what Dakota needs to choose between when deciding whether she wants her boyfriend, who cheated on her with her best friend Faida or whether she wants her best friend who was unloyal and flirted with her best friend’s boyfriend. Between fights and arguments will the deep love of both Dakota and Blaire come out on top? Does Blaire really love either of them or is he interested in breaking their hearts?  

Characters

• Sophie - Dakota means forever smiling
• Erin - Faida meaning wings that are folded
• Will - Blaire dark and mysterious

Plan for Clip

Voice Over carries on throughout clip, explaining the events and feelings of Dakota. Snap shot into Dakota and Blaires future.

2. Start with a Crane Shot/Tracking (as the love is fading away, getting more distant) of Dakota lying on the grass who then asks Blaire a question ''Will you love me forever?'' - flashback 
3. Split screen on one side is shown smiling while touching necklace and on other side is Dakota/Faida touching the same necklace 
4. Tracking of Dakota walking down corridor
5. Close Up Dakotas feet walking down corridor to show her power as she drops the friendship band that she has with Faida (object of interest - necklace on floor but you can still see Dakota walking in background blurry, pull focus) 
6. Long Shot Dakota and Blaire stood in corridor together
7. Over the shoulder shot of Dakota looking at Blaire in the corridor 
8. Mid Shot Dakota flickers out of image and Blaire is stood against corridor wall angry
9. ''LIES'' (plain black screen)
10. Object of Interest Dakota and Blaire together holding hands

13. Multiple shots of the characters fighting from different angles so the camera looks like its spinning, this causes the audience to feel like they are apart of the fight

15. High angle shot Dakota and Faida fighting
16. Camera spins around the characters so that the audience is able to feel the feelings of Dakota who is fighting with the other characters so that the audience sees the back of Dakota with the face of Faida and Blaire, this shot would be continuing through all the characters

18. Mid shot of front view of Dakota walking away - Long Shot Dakota walking away from behind
19. Dakota fades completely from shot 
20. Pan Dakota stood in mirror with black tears down her face - Close up of Dakotas face from the front as the camera becomes the mirror that she is looking into
21. Low angle shot Blaire saying "Forever isn't long enough" - flashback
22. Reviews from magazine and film companies
23. Main Actors/Actresses names, separate clips of actors/actresses face and then when clip is paused the name appears

26. Long shot of all of the characters walking away together with Blaires arms round both of the female characters
